Please help me with some activities on Stress Management and Time Management which can be done with students. This is a softskills class. So I need to have the activities where the students need to speak a lot so that their communication skills develop ; keeping in mind the topic of stress management and time management.

Dear Ekamjyot,

I congratulate you for your first post in Cite HR.

It is rather surprising that this is the only post in over five years.

You have not given your background.

Are you a soft skill trainer yourself?

In that case you could have given your thoughts first.

Doing a session on stress management and time management together is alright.

But you say you want to include communications skills also.

In my view communication as a soft skill topic can be handled in a separate session.

You please build your programme on the following questions.

1) How many urgent jobs does a participant do in a day.

2) What are the important activities for a person.

3) How many cases are there in which only important jobs are done?

4) Why does a job become urgent?

5) Do people prioritize?

6) In a day how many jobs does a person do which is not his own.

7) Does a person have the courage to refuse a job for right reasons.

8) Whatever job they do, do the people have a liking for the same.

9) What are the stress symptoms faced.

10 ) What is Eu stress?

11 ) Number of instances when people report fatigue.

12 ) Teach them Stephen Covey's four quadrant matrix.

In addition to above add good case studies.

From India
Hello friend,

Are you teaching some class in school or college as you are mentioning you are requiring all this

stress management and time management and communication activities for students?

V.Raghunathan Sir is giving you good framework to begin doing programme.

The more you are going to try doing then the more you are learning by yourself. It is true.

All I am wanting to say is you must know what you are doing - if it is one time only or you really

want to keep doing this for students every month.

Ok I can share some good PPT I have learnt from and shared with many friends who like doing such training

in school, college, office and community.

1. Time Management Tools For Everybody PPT and it is having many ways to do Time Management.

It is good for all levels. Many famous tools are shared that can give beginner to professional knowledge

of Time Management application.

2. Time Management by Rajjv Bajaj

This is covering many aspects of Time Management concept and also goal setting. Very important to learn as professionals.

3. Habit 3 - Put First Things First - Of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey PPT

This is one main PPT that V.Raghunathan Sir is mentioning above. This PPT is fully about what how to develop this

habit of Putting First Things First. It is showing how to prioritize and introducing and teaching

Stephen Covey's Time Management Matrix of 4 Quadrants. It is excellent and everyone is using it everywhere.

4. Stress Management for Everybody PPT

It discusses how stress comes and what is Stress Warp. Then it shows identifying sources of stress.

It has good ideas about healthy and unhealthy ways of coping with stress. Many of us knows stress

and feeling it too. But then we do really unhealthy activities to cope with it and that is creating more problems.

It is showing healthy ways to manage stress. It has Mayo clinic's 4 A's for dealing with stressful situations.

It has also Stress Management Strategies. It is very comprehensive presentation.

5. Communication Skills plenty is there so you please see the following link.

All Communication Skills PPT

As V.Raghunathan Sir is clearly stating it is Soft Skill. So do not make mistake of mixing it please.

Also search Citehr if in any one case all this is not completing what you are needing for students. You know best

what your students want.

One advise I like to share is that you please decide and choose as per your level or it will be confusion

if your are having pressure to just start something.

You will be confused, students will also be confused, and if nothing is done about confusion they will loose

interest in topic and not like it anytime in life.

So you please learn all this first and develop good sound knowledge and fundamental as they say.

Then when you understand you can confidently use all this material and make your own activities also.

Here on citehr we have so many experts with so much experience like V.Raghunathan Sir, Dinesh Divekar Sir,

Simhan Sir, John in Oz Sir, Atul Sharma.. If you search for their post you can read and learn a lot.

Five years is a long time to discover what you can learn and from whom.

Once my prof. told me in college that 'A Teacher never stops being a student'.

It is so true. I believe in it. And I get to learn so much by observing and reading and listening.

Learning is good attitude and essential too.

Hoping you can make most of all this help.

Ok all good wishes to you friend.
