Dear All,
I have a query regarding the weightage of KPA during annual review when there is an alteration of KPA during midyear review. Suppose, a KPA was set at the start of year- Goal Setting. During midyear review, it has been observed to be irrelevant due to changes in business requirement. But the employee has worked on that particular KPA and executed it completely.
What weightage should this deleted KPA carry during annual review ?

Dear Raj,
Assigning weight to each KRA is the prerogative of the HOD or the Departmental Manager. However, this activity has to be done before the commencement of each performance cycle. If the performance cycle is of a quarter or half-year, raising fresh KRA sheet becomes easy. However, if the performance cycle of a year, then the problem of this kind arises.
Due to market conditions or business requirements, if it is required to change the weights assigned to the KRAs or add/delete some KRA, then complete the PA process for a quarter or half-year as the case may be and raise fresh KRA sheet for the remaining part of the year.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar
