Building team is fine however, there has to be logical conclusion to the team building efforts. We must be able to measure the business impact because of the improved team efforts. Was there process improvement, was there reduction in some cost, was there reduction in manpower utilisation or equipment utilisation because of the improved teamwork etc, we have to measure that.
Teamwork is only a means and not an end. The trouble with many HR/Training professionals is that they concentrate on the means and not on the ends. Hence not many of them take trouble to measure the impact.
