Hi,
Can anyone throw some light on L1 visa rules.
1.Whether is it mandatory to provide L2 visa along with L1 visa?
2.A person whom we are giving L1 visa, should get Indian Salary or salary from USA?
3.If our USA company has to give salary then what tax an employee has to pay?
Please revert ASAP

Hi Karishma, Pl find below my answers
1.Whether is it mandatory to provide L2 visa along with L1 visa?
Spouse Passport / Marriage Certificate / A request letter from the company stating that she/he requires L2.
2.A person whom we are giving L1 visa, should get Indian Salary or salary from USA?
You can pay Indian salary also. Please make sure you pay the US minimum salary of $ 23,670per annum. You can deduct his CTC/TR from $ 23,670 and pay the balance as per diem
.
3.If our USA company has to give salary then what tax an employee has to pay?
Yes.

Thanks Venky for the prompt response.
Please clarify some more doubts.
I want to check that how much tax will be deducted from his salary if we pay him in US also. Whether it will be as same as an employee who is on H1B visa and getting only US salary.
Is it mandatory to pay him salary in India as well as in US?
Please revert ASAP.
Thanks
Karishma
