Hi, I am Nishant from Bhubaneswar. I am Studying in Orissa Engineering collge, Bhubaneswar. I got placed in an MNC called PROLIFICS. They said that they will send offer letter after 20 days. They selected total 15 students from Odisha. After 30 days they sent offer letter to only 5 students now it is more than 2 months.
I called and mailed to the HR team why i didn't get the offer letter rest some people got.? They said we are sending offer letter slot wise you will get too very soon. Now it is more than 3 months still didn't get. Can you suggest me what should i do now.?

The company must have kept you in their panel for placement and as and when the vacancies arise, they must be sending offer letters to the candidates. Please esquire with the company as to what will be the probable time by which the offer letter is expected at your end. In the mean time, look for other opportunities also as it is not wise to put all the eggs in one basket, however ensuring that the other company is equal to or better than the company which held campus placement as sometimes companies try to bind you to contracts of stipulated periods of service or ask you to pay certain some in the event of leaving the company earlier than such period or may create problems at the time of relieving, if at all you want to accept the offer of the former company.(that visited your campus). However this is the call you only need take, after assessing the circumstances.

This is now a common problem.
Companies come to the campus and "recruit" more students to keep a buffer in case some don't join, or if they don't get candidates from better colleges. In some cases they are recruiting against expected projects and don't actually want unless the project actually starts. Colleges don't mind as they can show in their statistics that they got 100% placement. Which sells to the next year.
I suspect they did the same here.
I have never heard of this particular Company. So please check their anticidents.
And don't waste time waiting. Search for a job and move. Doesn't matter much if the job you take is of lower expectations as compared to the so called MNC
there is actually no action you can take.'check with your college if there is any other Comoany that came but still is looking for candidates
