My salary is exactly 15000/- my salary is going to hike this month ending , but my father has some health problem , is there any chance ESI limit is changing or nor, otherwise I don't want hike my salary

1. Sir, the provisions of ESI Act, 1948 are compulsory in nature and you cannot exercise your option once your wages are out of coverage limit.
2. However, as mentioned by you if you were covered under ESI Act on start of contribution period, then (despite of increase of wages from coverage limit) will continue covered till close of respective contribution period. Therefore, if you were covered in October last year, then will continue covered till March, 2016 (which is close of contribution period). However, you can also check you legibility with the appropriate Branch Office of ESIC to which you are attached. For medical benefit the entitlement will continue upto respective benefit period only.
3. ESI limit is still upto and including Rs.15000/- and nothing has been heard in recent days about any initiatives of appropriate authorities regarding its enhancement.

You may continue taking treatment till April-2016 even if got increment on salary with the condition that you increment should be done after the month of October-15.

Dear Naresh, No problem if your salary will be hike than your contribution also will be on esic till March end.

Whether you want a hike in your salary that is absolutely your call and whether management will go as per your wish that is also up to them. However there was a proposal to make the limit of ESI deduction up to 25000/- gross salary but till date that has not come into force.
Thanks.

Possible if you join new company at a lesser remuneration less than Rs.15 K per month, are you ready for?

Mr Naresh
you can do one thing
you convince your employer to keep your gross salary @15000/- on pay roll and the difference amount of increment you tell them to give you one time or twice a year as Gratia or incentive that will not attract esic if paid you once or quarterly or half yearly ,i think company will not have any problem doing that and both purpose will be solved
