My father retired as an Asst Director in ESIC in 2012. Subsequently he was getting pension. Now 3 days back, he passed away due to brain stroke. My query is what are the provisions as to benefits in the event of death of Pensioner
From India, Vadodara
1. Dear member, in respect of services of ESIC employees, Central Govt. Service Rules are applicable and accordingly when your father was getting Pension from ESIC, the continuation of further benefits, if any, to the family members will be as per provisions of Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules. Some terms and conditions, must have also been mentioned in the PPO (Pension Payment Order) issued by ESIC authorities. Please see the relevant papers and approach the appropriate authorities accordingly, if required.

2. I may further submit for your kind information that in this citeHR generally the views are expressed by seniors/experts in respect of various labour laws and HR only.

3. For further clarification on any matter relating to pension matters, I think, ESIC Pensions' Association will be appropriate forum to raise discuss the issue. ESIC Pensions Association is having its Branches in almost in all Regions/sub-Regions and generally its meetings take place on either last working day of the month or on 1st working day. You can contact the said Association from such Region/SRO in which your father was getting pension. I am also a retired officer from ESIC and if you desire some further clarification, you can contact me on my e-mail address. May God bless the departed soul.
