Hi all,
We are giving one of our employee maternity leave within service bond will considered under the bond time or it will shift automatically beyond the bond time for example if her bond time is jan 2015 to jan 2017 than we can shift her bond time to apr 2017.

Hi Buddy,
No you cannot treat maternity leave as break in her service because as per definition of continuous service an employee said to be in continuous service if he/she worked 240 days in above the ground and 190 days in below the ground. As per Industrial act-1947 for calculating working days you have to calculate maternity leave also provided it should not cross 12 weeks.
Hence you should not extend her bond time.

It would depend on the wording of the bond terms.
In most cases, this is not standard rules and therefore you are free to extend the bond period by the number of leaves taken for maternity leave.
It would be a good idea to include the terms in future bonds.
