I am working in an IT start up company as an HR executive.I have given the task of calculating salary of employees.some of them have joined in mid-month.how should I calculate their salary.Being a fresher,I do not have clue about it.

Basic, should have the salary structure of all employees.
Create an excel sheet with the employee codes, names, DOJ, PAN, PF number and salary breakup.
Consider the leaves for the month as per the defined pay cycle (eg 15th -15th or 30th -30th)
Calculate the monthly compensation along with additional variable pay or loss of pay (due to leaves or any other deduction) if any, for all employees individually.
Take into account their individual savings before tax calculations (will send the excel format for calculation, if required)
Deduct the tax and calculate the net payable.
Make the payment.
