Dear Sayali,
Please suggest which is the target area for this activity: Economically weak zones (Slums), Educationaly weak zones (Rural areas), Ethically weak zones (Red light areas), or Emotionally weak zones (Urban areas)?
You can arrange some "self defence demonstrations" for girls in schools or residential areas.
You can also arrange "Health awareness program & distribute some basic medicines, etc" to rural area ladies or garbage collector ladies.
You can arrange some "Hobby Classes" for housewives, which can also be used as little earning opportunity for them.
Best Regards,
Amod Bobade

Thank you so much for your valuable replies. My target areas are economically weak zones slum area and educationaly weak zones (Rural areas). I want a small activity which can be conducted within a day or two as this is a very initial activity for the company. I am ok with giving seminar on some topics which will be very usefull for them.
Thankyou.

Hi Sayali,
If your the weaker sections of the society then you can plan on the below :
1. Educational programs to educate women from weaker sections of the society about various Central /State Goverment schemes for self employment and other financial benefits.
2. Awareness of various laws pertaining to women.
3. Computer literacy programs for girls who have studied minimum upto SSC.
4. As suggested by Mr. Amod, health awareness ,diet and personal hygiene awareness programs.

Hi Sayali,
Instead of just seminar, you should provide some trainings, useful things, etc.
I am not sure the program would be successful, if it does not go beyond lectures... I am sure you have allocated budget for the activity...
Slum areas are rarely economically weak, & they are surely aware of the government schemes better than the other people.
Rural areas are not much developed as compared to slums. It will be good to plan & visit a small village nearby & do something there... In our company we did donate a small library to a remote village school last year.
It was not only good for school, but also a good experience for our employees.
I will suggest to get in touch with some NGO in respective area & field, & they can suggest & arrange something like this for you.
Best Regards,
Amod Bobade.
