Hi All,
From last one month there are 3 technical profile vacancy in our company, out of which only 1 is closed, despite of job posting in leading job portal and taking services of 5-6 consultancies at a time, and taking test and interview of approx 70-75 candidates, we are not able to close the requirement.
The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of Job Description only, and the interviewers are also saying that they are asking about the general and basic knowledge only in the interview.
The management is creating pressure on me, but I can't understand what to do now.
Please help and advice for the same.

Dear Neha,
If the positions are not getting closed in your organization, it is a question mark for the HR. Since you have said that you have opened the vacancies to the recruitment firms and simultaneously posted on various job portals, I sguuest the following which cna guide you.
1. First re-define your JD. May be you are expecting more from the candidate with less experience. Re-define the offered CTC and the position to be offered.
2. You should initially conduct the telephonic interview but before that evaluate the profile of the candidate thoroughly with all the criterias mentioned in the JD.
3. If possible conduct the telephonic interview of the candidate with the panel members.
4. Also empanel with new consultants if the existing are not able to match upto to your expectations. This may bring in competitiveness and they will in turn strive to serve you better to retain their empanelment with you and your organization.
