I was asked to resign from my company (there were massive layoffs happening) on 31st march 2015.Even though at the time of joining in may 2013 there was a provision of 2 months notice period , the company immediately wanted us to leave without serving the notice period. In lieu of serving notice period they would provide with work experience certificate till May 2015.
Now I have not disclosed this fact in the interviews that I have attended at prospective employers. Is there any risk in that ?

These kind of things do happen in corporate sector and you will have to smartly answer during interviews. Ensure all other release formalities are also completed keeping this date in mind.

If they are giving you experience certificates till may, then you should have no problem.
There is a possibility that HR knows yiur company is going through layoffs and may use that to squeeze you on rates. But otherwise, I do not see any need to wizen him on it.

So long as you get paid for 2 months and the date of relieving is May you should not have any problem with future employer.
