Sir,
I joined an IT Major in India in August 2014 and was given a training for 3 months in a particular domain. After successful completion of the training part, I was given a service desk job which was not acceptable to me. To get my project changed, I ran from pillar to post, talked to my managers including my HR but I was told that as a fresher, I had to work in the Service desk itself or else I would have to resign and leave. I tried persuading them with all the possible reasons I had but it fell on deaf ears. At last, with no other option left, and facing immense pressure from my team lead to resign,I resigned on 13th December,2014 and then came to my hometown on a leave as my father was facing some health related problems. I have applied for the leave a week before posting my resignation. Just after I resigned, I was told that I have to serve a 1 month notice period during which I am not entitled to take any leave. Somehow, they agreed to grant me leaves for two weeks. After coming to my hometown, I informed them regarding the situation and asked them to grant me leave without pay for 20 days which they rejected stating the same reason that they cannot grant leaves to an employee in the notice period. Now, since I am at my hometown and I need to be here to take care of my parents. My HR told me that he has already informed the compliance team and will be initiating the LWD by monday,

Please tell me what possible consequences I may have to face if I do not report to the organisation?

Please Help

They will terminate you with reason stating as absconder, and for any new job you seek it has to be as a fresher.

I am not able to understand why you hate service desk jobs this much.
You don't like serving customers or is this because of pay (did they deferred in CTC or any benefits?)
Anyways, I understand that your position has direct impact on customer service and in your absence, one or the other customer would be suffering. Ideally you should respect the effort the company put on you for training and helping to build a career. However if you are not interested in your job, you may be spoiling customer - company relationships too.
In case if you are not in a position to serve notice period, send a formal letter with an appeal to consider your resignation and process your settlement. Make sure that you are sending this letter in mail as well as registered post to HR.
