Hi, I have been recently interviewing with one of the IT companies and got shortlisted, they are offering me a 30% hike on my current CTC and I'm due for a hike in my current company also in the next 2 months. So can I ask the next employer to compensate that, since my appraisal is just 2 months away and will affect my next package also with a 30% hike. Please guide me on the same as I am just a 2-year exp in the industry and don't have much idea about these negotiations.

Three things stand out from your post. One is that your appraisal is due after two months. Second is that you had not shown patience for the completion the appraisal. You went ahead with attending the interview. Third thing is that you had not disclosed that your appraisal is due and you expect ____ % increase. While asking for increase, you should have taken into account this increase and asked for further raise.

Anyway, today you have got increase for 30% This is not bad per se. Take this offer as if you got increment for 10% and got increase for 20% The opposite of this option is to spurn the offer, wait for the appraisal and later look for the new job. However, if you adopt this opposite approach then there lies risk of going against famous proverb. It is bird in hand is worth two in bush. Whether to give regard to this proverb or disregard it is your call.

Thank you for valuable response and suggestions.
Yes you are right have made all these mistakes as i was bit nervous during interview process that forgot about this and HR did not negotiate any thing about the salary and directly they told me to give 30% max and one more thing i would like to mentioned i have not received any offer letter yet, which is pending and will be given to me in next few weeks .

the new company will definitely not compensate you for the likely increment you are going to get in your current company.
if you like the current job, the work environment is good, the company is growing, then it is better to wait for the appraisal and the annual increment in the current company.
know one thing, that you are the best judge of the situation and no body else can advise you better than yourself.
have confidence in yourself , take a decision and enjoy whatever decision you have taken.

In the circumstances, if possible straight away tell the 'new employer to be' to consider the impending hike also and renegotiate to the maximum extent and decide on the outcome. If this is not acceptable you have to decide on the other factors like, Brand, growth opportunities, proximity, work environment & infrastructure, prospects of furthering your skills, knowledge, your marketability for further jumps and so on.
