As per newly introduced UAN now can a employee withdraw his/her pf amount when shifts from one job to another just like the case where before introduction of UAN use to be done by most of the EPF members so if an employee wants to withdraw his pf amount and again want pf in a new job will the same UAN continue -

Thanks abhay you mean to say if an employee withdraw his amount then pf account with UAN becomea zero and again if he joins in new organization it gets new contributions is that correct.
For instance : There is an employee x working with y company he resigned his job and he wants to with draw pf amount where he is already allpted qith UAN so he withdrawn his money now the UAN alloted account be omes zero.
So after 4 months or so he joined z company so will his pf account with starys with fresh z company contributions or the account gets collapsed once he withdraws his amount where he did it when he is moving feom y company.-please clarify.

Dear All
According to my view if the employee left the one job and he joins the other in that case if PF is applicable at his now job than he will not be able to withdraw his old company's PF he will have to transfer his PF accumulations to his new account by updating the UAN merging of previous pf account.
the person can withdraw his pf if he is not working in any establishment where PF is not applicable or the person had started his own business and will not work more than only he will be able to withdraw the pf otherwise the transfer is the only option.

I agree with Mr.Nilesh Soni, and UAN means Universal Account Number.
UAN stands for Universal Account Number. The UAN will act as an umbrella for the multiple
Member Ids allotted to an individual by different establishments. The idea is to link multiple
Member Identification Numbers (Member Id) allotted to a single member under single Universal
Account Number. This will help the member to view details of all the Member Identification
Numbers (Member Id) linked to it. If a member is already allotted Universal Account Number
(UAN) then he / she is required to provide the same on joining new establishment to enable the
employer to in-turn mark the new allotted Member Identification Number (Member Id) to the
already allotted Universal Identification Number (UAN).
The basic idea of introducing UAN is to avoid PF withdrawl by the members when they move from one organization to another organization and to avoid difficulty in transferring their PF account. As most of the members are opting for PF withdrawl once they leave an organization, even though they are getting Job before 2 months (by declaring they don't have job after 2 months also) which is unethical and there is no control over that, so by introducing this UAN most of the problems will rectify and only those who are really eligible ( Not got Job within 2 months) can opt for PF withdrawl. After withdrawing PF, if they get any new Job and PF is applicable in the new organization, With the same UAN you can start your new PF account in the new organization. So UAN is life time no. irrespective of your no. of organizations in your career henceforth. This is as per my knowledge. Correct me seniors, if I am wrong.

Dear All,
According to me, if member withdraw his PF, the UAN will become Invalid.
While verifying the UAN the present employer will not get the UAN as active.
While joining with new establishment, in form 11 he will declare that he has withdrawn the EPF and he will be allotted new UAN.
If he has withdrawn his EPF and unable to withdraw EPS for any reason e.g. Service more than 10 yrs, in this case he can transfer the EPS to his new UAN.
Thanks,
