I'm working as a junior engineer in an engineering institute and yes I had received an appointment letter. The reason for my termination was that I was on leave without any prior permission for two days but since it was a semester break n no classes were going on my absence would not effect the department. I had been issued show cause notice before also for a simple mistakes but now they have terminated me after 10 years of my service that too without any notice period. Therefore I would like to know whether I will get my gratuity or not.

You will get gratuity as you have completed 10 years and the termination is for absconding, and not for any major incident/cause/misconduct. You have to demand the Gratuity within 30 days of your termination in the prescribed format.
