Dear Members, Need your advice on below.

We are working for a aviation related organization and currently have a recognized association. Our past COD were negotiated between management and association. But last year in downsizing considerable staff were offered VSS and around 12 were terminated which included G.S. of association.

Since then association has approached labour court regarding termination and case is going on there.

However this year when it comes to negotiating COD management and association have hit a deadlock as management doesn't want terminated employees to sit on negotiating panel, but only current employees but G.S. adamant to get a terminated staff on panel, which has lead to apprehensive that our COD will be stuck fr indefinite time.

Now we are contemplating forming a workers committee from existing employees and approaching management for negotiating COD directly , as we don't want to get dragged in this battle of association versus management and loose out on our salary hikes.

Can you kindly advice legally if its viable and how to go about it.

Regards//RKS

Your post reminds me of the Grandfather who was given a wooden bowl to eat and banished from the dining table because his hands would quiver and drop things.
My advice to you would be to draw parallels from the moral of the story
All the best
