Dear All,
We have recently converted to a Pvt. Ltd. company. Earlier the employees were on various group companies and as the no. of each company was less than 20, there were no deductions done for any employees. Now all the employees are on the same company role.
My question is that though the company has said that the increment will be only in facilities. i.e. PF / ESIC / Gratuity etc.... i.e. both payment to be made by the company, the employees are not satisfied with the same.
Now how do i specify them.

1. Is Company decided to manage the PF/ESIC/Gratuity from current CTC or Company decided to add these in CTC and deduct the same? Also please brief about your Company Profile and Work Culture. This will help us to guide u better way.
As a good practice, if we initiate any new things at org level, we should never effect employees current salary. Company should borne the same.
Or if management does not want to do anything, they you should call a group meeting and discuss with all by telling the positive aspects. Such as Medical Security, Future Security.

The CTC is inclusive of the benefits. The Net take home of the employees has not been affected, the employee - employer payments for benefits will be borne by the company. This company is in Logistics and the employees here have been working from long.... Its a very family driven environment.
The employees are now saying that the benefits are a right of the employee and they cannot be treated as increment. So please advice as to how do i pacify the employees (read as HOD's)

What is ur increment cycle?
And why it was communicated to employee that they are getting increment. This is management decision to merge all different companies with one name. I think you guys should pitch to employees that this is not increment, this is just merger of several different companies. And as a family, we should support each other in merging the same and make a big company. And yes they are right that this is their RIGHT, but you should pitch this very carefully that we agree this is your Right but this was not applicable earlier. now you guys will get additional benefits in terms of PF/ESIC/Gratuity.
This is very sensitive matter, you guys should close it in very friendly manner. Don't use anywhere while talking with them that this is their increment... I would also suggest you to introduce some employee friendly policies..
This will help.

I have recently taken over as the HR here and the Management had already informed the employees that it was the increment. now only the disbursement is to be taken care of... I am now looking for a way to convince the employees...
