I am having 4 years of experience in Import/Export Field.
I changed my job before 2 months.
As per job description allotted to me ,I am supposed to manage all Import /export activities on my own.
But my manager is using me as his assistant, I sit almost idle the entire day.and most of the times he asks me to do some work after 6 pm.
So i have to stay late at office till 9 pm.
Now I am tired and thinking of changing this job.
Is it right to change my job or should i wait for some more time (notice period of 3 months after confirmation)
Please guide.

Hi,
If you need to leave the job, better leave before completing of your probation period.
1. you have 4 years of experience in export and import so don't change your field , so try to get work in same field.
2. one's you will change the field that will effect in your future, if you will continue with same field then you will get good opportunities.

It seems the job profile is not what was promised to you. Additionally, you mentioned that you are being used as his assistant.
In such a scenario, it would be advisable to look for a new job in another organization, rather than sit there and develop ulcers.

Dear Jitendra, Suggest, if you feel your talent is wasted in the company, then change the company now itself. Whats the justification that the same will improve by some time. Regards, Ashutosh Thakre

I definitely agree with this. Your job profile is not what you are doing. Why bother staying?

If your probation is for 6 months you have 4 more months to hunt a good job of your profile, please look for it ASAP and resign before the probation period ends. It is advisable to resign only after getting a suitable job of your profile then sitting idle at home.

Hello Jitendra Patil,
While I concur with other members reg the options open to you, I would view it from a different perspective ALSO.
You mentioned that your boss uses as his assistant. Are you sure you HAVE NOT IMPRESSED him? If you have, suggest give a thought on how to handle the Worst-case-Scenario [from YOUR perspective]--chances of your boss not letting you go, when you finally resign.
After all, who, someone like your boss, would let a (forgive me for the phrase pl) 'donkey' that does as instructed?
All the Best.

you need to discuss with your seniors and ask him about this.
2 months is too early , need not to leave the job , better to discuss with your senior and an in case required take help of HR and super senior.
first of all you need to discuss and understand why the work is not given or to sit late hours.
accept this as a challenge not a problem. I am sure you would start liking it after 2-3 months.
you need to understand the reason first, this is solution , please find out.
with best wishes,

Hi Jitendra,
My advice is to talk to your manager first, let him know how you feel, respectfully and with proof and sense.
Choose your words carefully, because the point is to make him understand the situation and how you feel about it, to look for a possible solution.
If after done that, He doesn't care, he doesn't do anything about it. Right there is your answer " QUIT ASAP".
But give it a try, and try to communicate with him and it that doesn't work, and you really need to stay ( for debts and responsabilities), apply as much as you can to get another opportunity,
if you pass your 3 months period, it doesn't matter, you still can resign.
