Hi All
Currently am working in an IT Company as a HR .
Last year when i joined this company we were only 48 Employees and now we have grown to 150 Employees.
Since one year am handling HR , Recruitment and Admin activities . Now they have hired one Recruiter, Admin also. And now it's time for my annual appraisal.
Now they are saying you don't have much task to be done why we need to do your appraisal .
Since 5 months they are delaying my appraisal . Now they are giving reason as Communication problem, Aggressive is missing ...etc.
So have decided to resign my job......
So seniors please let me know , have i taken the right decision or shall i wait and see for one more month. I have 3+ years of Experience in Recruitment and HR

Hi Ms Sinchana
The decision that you have taken is correct. At the same time if at all you are planning to quit then you may have to look for other opportunities also
In HR there are even other functions such as payroll, statutory, budgeting, Training & Development, Counselling etc.
You can concentrate on those functions and prove that you are the right candidate

Dear Sinchana,
The parameters of appraisal need to be communicated well in advance. Quantum of work that needs to be done is also need to be told the at the time of recruitment. Now if your company is dilly-dallying on appraisal then it goes on to show that the company is not that professional.
Performance Appraisal (PA) is important HR process. It has to be handled every year with due sensitivity. If this sensitivity is missing then there is no point in working in such company.
When you join your next company, I recommend you obtaining clarification on performance expectation well in advance to avoid confusion of any kind.
All the best!

Ms.Sinchana,
I will suggest you; not to leave the company until you have job/offer letter in your hand.
First get the job in your hand & then only resign. meanwhile continue your work as usual does not allow the issue to be reflect on your job.
