Hi everyone. I\'m Debajyoti Dutta. I worked in Larsen & Toubro as Diploma engineer for the period 5th july 2012 to 23rd march 2014. My bond with the company was for 2 years of 1 lakh rupees. I got my training in bangalore till December 2012. After that I was independently posted to a site for technical job. Now I have left my job for further studies. On June 16th I got a letter from HR that I have left the company without prior informing them. They have asked for a show cause letter from me. I want to know whether I have to pay that 1 lakh rupees or not. If anyone wants the printed documents of my bond papers, I can produce. Please help. My family is very nervous about this matter which is indirectly affecting my preparation for further studies.

Dear Babuidutta,
Your bond was 2 years and you have to serve only 1.8 years. It means that is not completed. Kindly check and go with terms & conditions of agreement which you have signed. I think it mention in your bond paper that, if you are unable to complete bond than you have to pay 1 lakh rupees. Also you left without informing your concern person or HR. Pls go in your company and meet with management team and request him to understand your situation. If your relation is good with management than say him why you have left the company.
Hope you successful..

Mr. Dhruv Patel,
But in the probationary letter its mentioned that if i leave the company within the probationary period then I'll have to pay a compensation amount of one month salary if i don't give a one month notice before leaving. I'm really very confused.
