Hi,
Can anybody help me.
What is the difference between HR Manual as a whole and induction manual, recruitmentmanual, compensation manual etc.
Is it needed once we had prepared HR Manual, again to prepare Seperate manuals like Induction, Recruitment, Compensation Manual etc.
Can anybody brief me about this.
Regards,

HR Manual is like bible which will contain all information about the company , rules and regulations, recruitment policies, facilities, salary structure and whatever HR is involved in.
Whereas Induction Manual or Employee Handbook is often given at the time the employee joins the firm to give him a brief idea about the company with all the rules and regulations including leave rules and only those info. what is really necessary for the employee in the day to day functioning.

Hi
HR manual contains policies and procedure of the company. But Induction Manual contains policies and procedure of the company which every employee should know. This is some of the extract of your HR manual. This is the guidelines for the new employees. Recruitment manual and compensation manual etc are the chapters to your HR Manual. Once you made HR manual you need not to make separate one.

Hey
Manuals are basically created for giving an idea for specific topics.
If we talk about HR manual it consist of The "company" history,Terms of employment, Work ethics, Employment policies, Employment records, Standards of Conduct, W & S policies, Benefits & Services and related things.
And Induction & orientation manual consist of welcome letter, handing over belongings cabins files books PC, a tour to the company processes and diff dept people, basic standards and ethics of company, strong value system inculcation, a small meet with the M.D or CEO, his / her roles & responsibilities and last but not the least is making one comfortable with the entire Organisation.

Hi all,
I appricieate the views presented here. Please can any one make me clear... is it somthing like that in HR manual the renumeration of every designation is mentioned in brief and the other expenses like on training and development etc. are also mentioned?
if so than it cannot be statutory as renumeration keeps on changing according to the market demand and also according to the potential of the candidate.
Please make me clear with my doubt.
