Hello,
I will be joining new employer in few days. I have got all the documents from the current employer. Now while submitting documents to the new employer, should i submit the color photocopy of the original or normal B/w photocopy would be enough? The Color photocopies would look exactly like original so will there be a issue? The new employer has asked for original Releiving letter, can i give them the color photocopy of the original releiving letter?

Dear friend,
When you were selected in the new company, HR professional must have told you requirements about document submission. Have they asked for colour photocopies or original? If latter then does it include your graduation mark sheet, certificate etc?
If you give the colour photocopy of relieving letter, then do you think that you will not be caught? If you were caught then will it be good to start your tenure on bad taste? Please think it over.
Thanks,

The HR has asked to submit all educational and previous company documents. But the releiving letter he has asked specifically in original. If i give original to him, What shall i do in the future? should i give him original and keep color photocopy to myself? (or vice versa) ?

A colour photocopy is still a photocopy as the original will have a signature in ink. What will the new employer do with the certificate: check and return it or hold it as security?

Have you asked him why he needs the original? Or is it required just for verification against photocopy?
Ask him the reason and tell him you are uncomfortable about submitting original letter.
And a request not to ask validations from this community to do anything immoral.

Dear All
There a practice of some companies to keep the original certificates with them and returned after the pronation period is completed. This is kept as security considering the large turnover in the organisation.
This issue is separately discussed under different threads on this site only.
