I work for a start-up IT company, our team consists of just 3 software engineers, among these 3 we have decided to promote one of them as the leader, since the team is so small I was hesitant to give him the title of Team Lead, could you suggest some titles that could be his designation. Also, kindly suggest if Lead Product Engineer is a good title.

IT Companies gives titles such as programmer Analyst or Associate or Senior Associate.
For a lead position you may give the title as Lead Engineer rather than Team Lead.
