Hello. I work for a leading kpo in mumbai. I have been a consistent top performer in my team. Off late i have been very stressed due to work pressure and hence my doctor has adviced me rest and leave for a month. When i discussed this with my organization they have decided to terminate me. Do they have the right to do so? Are there any legal grounds or laws that govern this?

Dear,
First all company can't terminate any employee without valid reason & proper evidance, if they are trying to terminate you on the ground of medical reason, then, they are wrong, as your doctor is not yet declare that, you cant continoue with job for any medical reason, its just said that, you need the rest, which due to work stress itself.
You should start communicatting with your orgnisation in writting & try to get the reason of termination from them in writting, which may the strong evidence for you in future.
Regards,
Tushar Swar
