Have doubt regarding casual leave entitled for payment?

Are you asking about:
a) encashment of casual leave, which is remaining in an employee's credit at the end of the year
or
b) payment of wages, while an employee on casual leave (leave with wages)
May be specified pls.

Casual leave is granted with or without pay not exceeding 10 days in the aggregate in a calendar year. Such leave shall not be for more than three days at a time except in case of sickness.

Dear Jeyvenkat,
Although you query is not clear. Still for your information, plz. note that if CL is availed (in case of credit balance) to any employee in any specific month then the it will be considered as a Paid Day and the said employee will be paid equivalent to a normal working day.
Whereas, if any employee resign from the services and CL are balance in his / her Leave Account, then it will be not entitled for encashment. Only EL can be encashed at the time of FnF Settlement.
Plz. also note that, CL / SL entitlement is different from state to state.

Dear Sir,
Casual leave is entitled for payment as per management policy in every month for the leave availed.
In general it is not accumulative to next year. In the year end it lapses automatically.
In general the CL is not encashable unless extended by the management.
All these are applicable as per management policy.

The casual leave can be granted to an employee on exigency ground with or without pay. The Casual leave if having a credit balance shall be paid with poay along with salary, if not in creditm, it will be treated as Leave without pay ie Authorized absence. The CL cannot be encashed. It will get automatically lapsed if not availed in the year and cannot be carry forwarded. More than three days at a time is not permitted. Maximum 8 to 1 2 days of Casual leaves are permitted in a year by a well established organizations.
