Dear Seniors,
I want to know the cab charges charged from the employees in companies for pick and drop facility.
Kindly suggest me the cab charges that I can deduct from the salaries of my employees, how it should be framed and calculated?, is there any formula for cab charges that I can deduct from the salaries? , Please suggest.

Dear Sudhir
I presume the Cab facility was being offered as a welfare (or brand-building) measure without charging any amount.
One would like to know this idea of charging employees through salary deductions; came from where ??

Are you the one who initiated this brilliant idea ??
Warm regards.

Dear Raj Kumar Ji,
Thanks for your comment, but I want to inform you that some good companies are deducting some amount money from the salary of employees as Cab charges, I don't want to take the names of these companies so that this came in my mind.
Regards,
Sudhir Kumar

Dear Sudhir
Thanks for your response.
I agree with what you say.
However, as an HR and as an employee yourself; consider whether it is fair to withdraw such a welfare measure ?
In BPO's and IT companies, this is a major employee-friendly perk and a necessity.
If it is your idea; then I suggest not to go ahead; as such steps are generally counter-productive.
Warm regards.

Dear Sudhir
Already Mr. Raj Kumar has explained you in this subject. Further to that normally in IT/ITES/BPOs are giving pick up and drop facilities for its employees. Their working hours are differrent and it is the responsibility of the company to give pick up and drop for the employees who are working in night shifts. Once you can give the pick & drop facility to the shift duty personnel (majority employees), it will not make much difference to provide conveyance facility to the General Shift staff too.
If your management is insisting, you must convince them as the same is provided as a welfare measure and protect the welfare of the employees being given.

Forget about welfare, if you try to do such a thing (charge for providing cabs for pick up and drop), you will find that a lot of employees will leave rapidly. Specially the good ones, who can find another job quickly. If you have some left, they will be the ones who cant get another job elsewhere.
