if i give DOJ the applicable leave for that particular employee should calculate automatically.
for eg., DOJ is 15-jul-2013 from this date to dec i should calculate applicable leave. Per month we decide to assign 1.5 days leave.
can anyone help me to calculate in excel.

Dear Gayathri,
Just to help you. First of all if a person has joined on 15th July 2013, He will complete 6 months on 15th Jan'13.
Till then the accumulated leave as per your instruction that in one month the leave will be 1.5. the total will be 9 days.
In your chart you have taken 22nd July as DOJ why. it should be 15th as mentioned by you. Then you have to carry forward the leave every month after deducting the leaves taken every month. Finally as shown in chart he will be left with only one day leave. Also this you are taking only paid leave. Sick and Casual leave are fixed as per the company policy.
For Paid leave, 20 days working you earn 1 leave. In chart you will have to accommodate all kind of leaves. Also LWP (Leave without pay), and the other leaves that your company follow. I am try to attach your file back with some modifications.

Thank you for your help. I posted the sample data. I cant reveal the original data. Im attaching sheet with out employees name and employee number. i have found the formula . pls correct me if im wrong.

Hi ,
According to our policy yearly leave is 20 days. And i want to divide it into every month (1.67). If the employee is not taking leave in that month i want to carry forward that leave to next month, like this i have do it for every month in a year according to their joining date and last i want to calculate the total leave.
Hope i explained correctly. Please help me on this.
