Hi Folks,
I worked for a Reputed MNC in India. I left the organisation for better prospects. However i dint serve the prescribed notice period as i had to join the new organisation at the earliest. I informed my manager about the same but they didnt relieve me on time. I still went ahead and joined the new organisation who were happy to onboard me with out relieving and experience letter.
In retrospect my concerned is whenever i happen to change my current organisation in future, my then company will/might ask for relieving and resignation letters of my previous 2 organisations.
I have requested my previous organisation for the relieving letter by recovering my salary for the remaining days of my notice which i had forfeit, to which they are not agreeing upon.
Could some one please guide how to take this forward as i dont want to be called absconded and delimit my chances of working with other organisations moving ahead.
Thanks,
Mashud

Dear Mashud, Do you have resignation letter acknowledged by your Manager, if you have that letter you can preserve as resignation proof. thanks Chandra

Thanks Siddha,
I have the resignation mail which i have sent across to my Manager and the HR but i donot have any acceptance letter from them.
My concerns are:
1. If my previous organisation donot provide me with the relieving and exp letter, can i be honest with my future organisation and tell them about the situation as i have my offer letter, salary slips and the resignation mail with me.
2. What would be the impact on my career if my previous organisation termed me absconding (Though i have informed them before hand and requested for early relieving).
3. Will i only delimit my chances of working with my previous organisation in the future or all the MNC's ?
Please help.
Regards,
Mashud.

Dear Mashud, Many companies will ask for last worked relieving letter ,not two companies . There will be no impact or delimiting your chances due to this reason.

Dear Mashud,

Its very usual these days for employees to behave the way u have done with previous employer but make two things important herein :

- When you resign the present firm make sure that you complete exit formalities to get experience letter and relieving letter so that the next organization you go for have better results to the verification of documents you wil furnish/

- Many organizations do demand all the experience certificates you have previously worked in for, so you try your level best of getting atleast acceptance letter of resignation you have done to the previous organization so that you can add it with appointment letter you got from there. It will be a proper supplement to experience letter of that organization. But that all depend on your negotiation with the previous company. Try to persuade.

Because as per my knowledge, its not sure that organization whom you will join in future will just demand you to furnish your last working organization testimonials. It may ask you for more.

Best of luck...!!

Hi Siddha/Imankit,
Thanks for your valuable thoughts. The fleeting thought which is striking my mind currently is that of BGV. What if my future organisation do a BGV check with my previous organisation and am sure they would depict my conduct as un-professional and bad. This would hit my chances of working any new company moving ahead.
