in my factory due to over order we have decide to run the another 4 hours more than their working time,my employees are refuse to perform over time.
please help me am new handle this issues.
In their appointment clearly says that if management decide to run extra hours, employees has to perform.

Dear Nagraj
The employee cannot refuse to carry out job in Over Time, unless there is genuine compelling reason. Refusing in concerted manner may even amount to strike.
However the objective is to obtain productivity- talk to them and offer them extra facilities like free breakfast/meal and transportation to drop at home in addition to overtime twice the rate. This may help.
Obtain buy-in of leaders and opinion makers.
