What is the definition of CL as per your company policy, it can be taken for personal work/social commitments/others so it should be counted as 2 excluding Weekly Off.

Dear Ramakrishnan,
Generally, the grace time for late reporting for work ranges from 5 to 15 minutes. Certain companies turn back the employees who report late beyond the grace time while some others cut one day leave for such late coming beyond grace time for a few days e.g. 2-3 days, allowing such late comers to attend to duties. However, it depends on the policy of the company. Refer to your company policy further.

Casual Leave will be based upon your policy. If your policy says intervening holidays, w.offs will be included then it will count for 3 days, it it is excluded it will be 2 days. Go thorough your leave policy. If such clause is not there you may insert it with current practice. Please keep it in mind to follow the current practice else it may have adverse implications. One more thing is it for unionized employees or non unionized employees. If it is for unionized employees pl. check any such clause in settlements.

Most of the companies and establishments and contractors count holiday as leave, if it falls between two working days. In case of leave with pre-fix or suffix of the working day, then holidays is not counted.

Dear Vhatkarneelima,
I presume you are in HR.
Rules governing leave policy, you should decide it for your organization. You should frame it, put it in black and white. Make it known to every one in the organization. So, there won't be any ambiguity in your mind as well of others.
Normally, any paid holiday / paid weekly off intervening any kind of leave, it is treated as leave of that kind and not as holiday / weekly off. If you decide to consider intervening holiday / weekly off not as leave but it is holiday / weekly off, please let me know. I would like to join your esteem organization. This is the best way to attract persons like me and retain them for long.
Hope you get it what I said.

Well, if your leave policies follow the sandwich rule then in that particular case total 3 leaves will be counted for you.
