The public sector is the core public utility or public services business/operations ifunded, proomoted and managed by Government like Railways, Ports, and Airport Authority etc.
The Public sector undertaking means the industries/business where majority of funding is from Government and its management is professionally done by Board of Director where the key directors are nominated/appointed by Government.
GSFC is such state level Government of Gujarat Undertaking. Now it is up to one to perceive its job as "Government Job" or not. As I know the company closely it is not the atypical Government Company and the job there is not the typical Government Job.
