Hello HR Aspirant,
You said your company is functional.
So concentrate on activities that are required to keep an organization going.
Mr Malay has given a good list . A useful URL has been provided by Ms Nobomita.
You can start with Attendance and Leave records.
In recruitment , training, performance appraisal etc you will get the support of your seniors.
Depending on your need, select the topic and keep reading Cite HR.

Dear Professional,
1. Start with introducing the attendance machine, so you can keep a track on attendance as well as leave & OD (Out door duty) status.
2. Start maintaining the registers under the labour laws (attendance, fine, OT, Deduction, Advance registers)
3. Get the licenses under shop & Establishment, Contractor (If Required) license (Principal Employer), BOCW Licenses, PT, PF & ESIC License.
