Dear Ms. Kusum,
As a part it is obviously mandatory to attest an employee identification card for the purpose as the companies may use their identity-checking skills to guard against a human resources issue
While speaking about 200 employees it is always recommended to look on the electronic badging methods or bio-metric system. This imprints no barriers for "Zero" issues in monitoring the data of any employee. Now-a-days the IT world has incalculably developed that {Identity Theft} is quite commonly observed. Electronic ID badges (the employee information is encoded on the magnetic band) are replacing manual hustles, they can also be used for emergency phone numbers and even corporate mission statements.
Try something that may burden down instead backing up the necessary at the end of the show.

Dear Kusum
You have to put the rubber-stamp; and in a way that it covers a small part of the photograph, preferably right bottom corner.
This will prevent anyone to replace the photograph.
Also, there should be a signature; either HR or Admn Head or Security i/c; on the Id Card.
What Ms. Sharmila has suggested is good; if your company has budgeted the expenses, it can be implemented.
Warm regards.

Employee picture, name, designation, Permanent address with phone no. in opposite page rules and instructions with company authorised signature. If you follow these then you will get a nice ID card. Thank you.

Dear Kusum,
I dont think that if you mentioned the logo of companies than their is any need for stamp, but in that ID card you need to mention their Emergeny contact Details and their blood group which is very necessary for any company .
And also mention address of a company.

From United States,
It is not necessary to stamp ID Cards. While preparing the card, the identity and all credentials are verified and the same is printed in the card.

Dear Kusum,
Rubber stamp is not required on laminated ID card, only logo of the comp., name of the employee, desg.,dept.,blood group , Ph no.should be mentioned. If it is paper made then you can use stamp or may not be.But in case of laminated card, you can use it for biometric use, it reduces the time, helps in time office management.

Dear Kusum,
Photograph of the holder must be stamped in such a way that half should be on photograph and rest be on ID Card. if photographed is replaced ,tampering of ID Card will be detected easily.
Thanks,

A common fallacy that people have, and perpetuated by our government is that rubber stamp makes a document authentic. It cost rs. 100 to make a duplicate stamp. If someone had to do fraud of any kind, rs. 100 extra to be spent is small change.
The intended purpose of the I'd card is going to drive its structure.
If its only internal, then even without rubber stamp, it can be authenticated (by signature, photo, etc). One of our client has a bar code printed on the I'd card. The guard scans the bar code and the original data including photo comes on screen, which needs to match the photo on the card and in person. If security is not a big issue, then even such elaborate arrangement is not needed.
If the idea is to have it as a proof of I'd to a third party, the requirements needs to be more stringent,
T answer your original, question : rubber stamp actually adds noting. Specially in case of laminated or preprinted cards.

Yes it is necessary to put stamp to avoid misuse of it. Otherwise anyone can make duplicate card and use it
