Dear All,, I have came across at very pathetic situation where in my friend had applied for TCS, he cleared all the round and at last in the final HR round he was witheld just because he had given his class 10th from Nation open school (now NIOS).
Why such eduction system is not considered as eligible requirement for jobs in company like TCS?? Even correspondence and part time education is refrained here in TCS.
My friend is demoralized, his would be reporting manager (Zonal Head) says that he will confirm and seek for an approval for waiving off this requirement.
Will that work, as I think that will go against the HR recruitment policy of TCS.
Can something be done in this regard???

Hi Chetan,
In TCS they do forgo some requirement, incase the candidate is exceptionally good. So let the Zonal Head handle this, as you cannot do anything in with regards to companies internal policies.
Also tell your friend not to be demotivated, as this is not the only company in the world. Tell him to keep trying in other organization too.
All the best

Hi Anita,
Even after taking the recognition certificate from Nation open school (after writing them a mail related to non acceptance of open schooling by TCS), which was sent by NIOS to TCS Kolkata & Mumbai office, my friend is not getting any positive feedback.
Now, my friend has approached a person who is in a AVP rank and he has asked him to sent a detailed mail about the same and he said to him, lets see how I can take this matter forward.
Now my point of question here is.......even his Zonal head (wud be reporting boss) is not able to take necessary approval nor the concerned HR's in Mumbai & Kolkata TCS is reverting, will his last hope (Mr. AVP) can turn the table round....
Need a guidance on this.....as he is doing all this just because he don't want any stone to be untouched (his fighting spirit)
regards,
Chetan.
