Dear All Can anybody clarifiy me whether PF deduction has to be done in case if the employee is given a advance notice pay due to retrenchment in the company.

Retrenchment compensation or notice pay given to the employee is not salary earned and therefore, PF need not be deducted from it. Regards, Madhu.T.K
