Hi,
My wife did not opt for LTA and Medical Reimbursement as part of her flexible salary as I was claiming that in this financial year. Our medical expenditure rose unexpectedly this year and I have over 30k of bills now. When she wanted to claim it from her office she was told that she can not claim the exemption as she did not opt for the package in March last year. I have travel receipts too which she is not allowed to claim as LTA citing the same reason. I wanted to know if I can claim them as these are the exemptions that the Govt provides and sometime it is difficult to predict in March only what all things you will need by the end of the year.
