One of my employee has now come up with date of birth different from epf office record. What is the procedure to amend that. Should i simply file ecr with amended dob or there is a set procedure. Kindly advice.

Hi Nvnkumar2159
You have to fill a fresh form-2 submit with an application along with a copy of proof of the date of birth like ( Pan,Voter ID,DL,Academic Certificate) which you intend to change

Ankita ji,
Thanks for your guidance. But Form 2 is a nomination declaration form on behalf of employee. And the application should be from employee side or from employer side?. Kindly advise.
thanks and regards

Hi Naveen,
I have suggested you on the basis of your query, the solution i have mentioned above are basics of the procedure
by employee and all the people who are having this kind of clerical mistake while filling form 2.
If there is a difference in D.O.B in your Documents then the procedure is below mentioned ..........
step-1 Affidavit for change in D.O.B
Go To Notary Or Any Advocate For affidavit.
Step-2 Go to District Municipal Corporation for affidavit

The authentic proof of birth is the school record, ie either school leaving certificate or ssc certificate. Pan card etc are not suitable
