Hi Mr Sudhir,
It is a nice one.
Whether we like it or not all the waste that we throw get recycled.
Any untreated bad disposal will affect us.
That is what the clipping tells us.
Technological advancements have to be handled with care.
Proper application of REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE should be the approach.
The oft repeated quote
We have inherited this Good Earth from our ancestors:
but we have nearly borrowed it from our Children

is worth mentioning again.

You have nicely explained it, Mr. Raghunathan and thanks for highlighting this quote.
May I please edit your quote as below :
We do not inherit Earth from our ancestors, but we only borrow it from our grand children”.
This is one of the best quotes that we come across, emphasizing the need for environmental protection measures.

Hi,
Thanks for the post.
You said we people.
To me when it comes to improvement I see only ME
I am of the opinion that it should be I
After all every individual has to begin on improvements.
Let us stop worrying about others start following implementing the improvements and set an example to others.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir

Dharani Maám,

We cannot change anyone easily specially if you start talking about environment issues with your colleagues/friends/family members they will reply ‘’what the hell happen to you Raghu’’ .

Last Jan (During my R&R)when I went to shopping with my friend to ‘’MORE’’ departmental store after done our shopping my friend asked carry bag to the ‘’MORE’’ employee but I was totally surprised instead of giving polythene bag he showed the notice which was announced by INDIAN GOVERNMENT regarding plastic (Environmental problems) it’s clearly states use recycle bags (They didn’t say we can’t use plastic bags but they highlight avoid plastic bags).

My friend start arguing to that guyz then I comprised him and front of my friend I appreciate the ‘’MORE’’ employee and buy a small bag its cost 5 INR. When we reached the home she said everything to my Mom do you know what my Mom replied ‘’What the hell happen to you Raghu’’ ssssss… Again she raised the question to me one plastic can change everything??? I didn’t say anything to MOM but the next day morning I explained to my MOM about my job nature and responsibilities she promised me we will avoid using plastic bags as much possible in future.

That’s the last shopping I went with her whenever I asked her to go outside she will replied ‘’Wait I will get my recycle bin bag’’ with smile front of everybody.. See

MORE departmental store had implemented the system in Tamilnadu lets visit the ‘’MORE’’ departmental store on your zone.

You have my MOM right let’s call her tonight and ask about that plastic bag story end of the conversation may my mom will advice you don’t use Plastic bag Dharani….

@Dharani.,,

We can’t stop using plastic bags in one day it’s not possible too. Here after does you will stop using plastic bags???

Team,

Specially those kind of things/issues we should be lead by an example don’t expect ever changes starting from others, Changes should start from us.

Dear Cite HR Friends ,

It is nice to see an overwhelming response to the thread started by Mt A Sudhir.

I thank Mr Melango for his quote.

One shudders to think any further beyond the quote, as it presents a much

more grave picture, than the previous quote mentioned by me.

Reality is frightening and we cannot ignore it.

Ms Dhaarani’s view about the nonchalant view of the common man

is also a genuine concern. Perhaps the likes of attachment

may create some awareness.

Mr Sudhir’s view that improvement begins from SELF for an individual

Is laudable. It is also mentioned in the attached ppt.

My namesake from the US, has made an excellent narration

of how ordinaryEvents have an underlining message about

Pollution control. I am indeed happy to serve the Group that

runs MORE chain besides many other businesses. Again the

attachment might help in making people get an idea of the

magnitude of the harmful effect that pollution causes.

More than four years ago, I was preparing for a workshop

On Energy conservation measures and Pollution control.

I came across a very good presentation by Mr Ramjee Nagarajan.

Courtesy Mr Ramjee I am happy in sharing his lovely presentation.

Every slide is simple to look at and yet thought provoking.

I am sure such presentations will promote awakening.

It expresses all the concerns shared above and

gives possible solutions as well.

Dear Sudhir and Team,
Very valuable and thought provoking presentation.
Good discussion.................
Thanks for the same...........
We all might have the experience the adverse affects of the plastic bags. Most of the cities drainage system is blocked by the waste especially by the plastic bags.It further leads to foil smell and pollution and various desieses.
So let us care our environment....................
Thanks again for the beautiful information.
