Dear Harsh
How did you tell that an employee murdered another employee. What is the proof you have with you.
If you have the clear proof then you must inform to the nearest Police Station and hand over the employee to the Police. Because Murder, Culpable Homicide & Rape are the three offences you cannot trial in organisation level. Till the case is clear you can keep the employee on suspension and if it is proved then you can dismiss the employee from your factory. Any loss occurred due to the employee (damage to the property and loss caused due to payment of compensation (after claiming the insurance part to the murdered employee) can be deducted from the final benefits before giving the dismissal order.
You must inform the ESI Office to stop the medical aid to the person if the crime is proved.

Dear Harsh,
As an HR Professional you have limited rights to execute at organizational level. Offense like MURDER cannot be handled by any HR & for that matter not by the management too. The steps are cited in the above post. You must inform the police if you haven't done so.
What was the reason for "murder" - if you say so? Was it personal between the two involved or related to company affair? What was the grade / cadre of the two? Basis this ensure that the family of deceased gets all the dues & also pension or a lumpsum compensatory amount. Offering employment to someone from his family - if it matches your company's criteria - can be also done.
In addition to PF & ESIC to the family of deceased, they are also eligible for GRATUITY as per the last basic till the year of retirement. Pl read the Gratuity Act.
For the one who has done the offense, you can keep a copy of FIR (obtain from the police station) & keep for your records.
