Dear Members,
My notice period is of 60 days from the date of resignation. I am serving complete notice period. And have resigned from my position in September and serving my notice period with out salary. officially I will be released from this organization in Nov2012 and despite requesting them many times to release my Sept salary at least, they refused.
They have a exit policy, of which I was not aware of until I have joined, where its written that all payments will be on hold immediately after resigning.
HR exec says salary release before full completion of full notice period, will be the breach of companys policy.
Apart from that they will release my FF after 25 days of relieving.
Please suggest.

Hello,
This may disappoint you--but many companies have this policy.
You should have gone thru the Policies clearly BEFORE you resigned--to plan out the various aspects of the process.
I guess the only option you have is to plan out your expenses properly & frugally.
All the Best.

Dear Friend, yes its true when u are on notice period, the salary for that period will be paid in f&f. Most of the companies have opted for this policy.

Hi,
You can request them to shorten the tenure of F'n'F settlement i.e. within 10 days instead of 25 days. Else, the exit policy of retaining all payments immediately after resignation is prevalent in many companies to ensure that the employee serves his full notice period. Just request them or suggest them that you being the bread winner of your family cannot sustain without salary for approx 3 months. Probably on humanitarian grounds your reporting authority & HR can take the matter to management and make such amendment.

Dear IT Master,
Usually most of the companies have such policies and you have to abide them.
However, you can request the Management to breach the policy and amend them with immediate effect by giving your certain reasons.

One suggestion: Though they have policy in place, but no policy is above and higher than Law of land. i have discussed with couple of my Lawyer friends and with HR personnels as well. This practice is illegal.
Best Wishes.
