I am Vasudevan, working as a Asst.Manager - Safety at one Leading IT company located at Chennai. Rightnow, I am preparing training presentations for ERT members. So, I required clear descriptions of Roles and responsibilities of ERT members.
Also I am preparing Emergency response plan for my Company (IT company located at Multi storey building).
I had gone through so many websites and our CITE HR websites, but I didn't find my required one. So, please guide me / send me the required documents for me.

Dear Mr.Vasu,
Emergency Response Teams are required to be formed in the factories to deal with any kind of emergency.They may consist :
A Fire Fighting Team
B First Aid Team
C Emergency Rescue Team.
Their rolls and responsibilities should be defind clearly and displayed at prominent places of the company. You may design their rolls as per your organisatin requirements.However for ease the following points may be added :
1.Overall responsible for maintaining safe and healthy environment in the Plant.
2.To advice and assist the management in the fulfillment of its obligations concerning prevention of peronal injuries and maintaining a safe working environment.
3.To ensure proper handling of Hazardous chemicals, solvent & effluents.
4.To ensure that all solvents are handled according to MSDS
5.To ensure safety of men, material, machines, equipment, buildings etc
6.Ensure that on site emergency plan is available at every time
7.To ensure proper safety measures before giving authorization of permit to work systems
8.Ensure proper identification and availability of all Fire extinguisher, fire hydrant pumps, and fire fighting equipments.
9.Ensure Job Safety Analysis.
10 To investigate and report on all incidents/accidents and advise preventive measures.
11 Conducts safety inspections and follow up for CAPA.
12 Studies imminent threats within the work facility
13 Ensures that company personnel observe and follows established safety guidelines and wear all PPE’s.
14 Assists in the conduct of fire and emergency drills.
15 To organize in association with concerned dept. campaigns, contests and other activities for establishing safe working environment.
16 Hazardous waste management.
17 To ensure the conduct of all Environmental monitoring i.e. Ambient Air monitoring, Stack (Boiler, and DG Emission) and Sound Pollution monitoring, soil testing and maintaining the records thereof.
18 Develop solution to Environmental problems involving water, Air, Noise Pollution, Waste Recycling & disposal
19 To ensure regular training on Safety, Environment. & First Aid and other related areas
