Dear Members,
I have been informed by my company HR that " The maximum period an employee is entitled to maternity benefit is 12 weeks, of which not more than 6 weeks shall precede the date of expected delivery of the child."
I understand that in total i can avail 12 weeks paid Maternity Leaves, however any complication arises and require pre ML than it should not exceed more than 6 weeks(paid), and rest 6 week would be availed post delivery.
However my HR confirmed me that in total i can avail 6 weeks leave and further extension of leave would be considered as LWP.
Request your comments & correct me if i have misinterpreted the clause.
Warm regards,
Charu
