The following factors to be considered while shortlisting Insurance company.
1) The company which provides more numbers of days for intimating claim (claim intimation)
2) The company which provides more numbers of days for submitting claim from the date of discharge from Hospital
3) The company which condone delayed submission of claim or no intimation if requested by HR / Employer.
4) The company which is having more Hospitals in its net work list (to avail cashless facility by claimant).

TPA is your choice, you can demand your choice of TPA. Your Insurance broker / insurance company must agree to provide your choice of TPA.
As per my knowledge OPD is not covered, 24hours of Hospitalization on genuine grounds is required. But few companies are ready provide coverage for OPD form next year, this subject to approval from Insurance regulatory authority. As of date I don't think that any company provides OPD coverage. If you come across please update me.

As per my knowledge OPD is not covered, 24hours of Hospitalization on genuine grounds is required. But few companies are ready provide coverage for OPD form next year, this subject to approval from Insurance regulatory authority. As of date I don't think that any company provides OPD coverage. If you come across please update me.
