I wish to know if factory engage a hamali for loading of some material.
He is not a regular employee and is not registered under the esi.He meets with an accident while performing the given job and causes injury. what benefits the halami will be entitled to? Can they be covered in any form health/group insurance like in vehicle insurance ( third party )

Is the factory covered under the ESI Act? Is the employee a direct employee or employed through a contractor?

He is only entitled for the compensation and damages from the employer........... No other claims would be entertained.......

Hi, It won\'t be covered under ESI, because he/she isn\'t a temporary / permanent employee, so you need to cover Workmen Compensation / Employees compensation insurance.
