Hi,
We are planning to have an induction kit for our new recruits.
I think, we should be having the following in our kit:
a) Employee Handbook
b) Induction PPT
c) Note Pad
d) Induction Program Details
e) Pen / Pecil
f) Diary
g) Company Newsletter/Pamphlets
h) A Brief about the unit/department the person is joining
i) HR Policies
Is there anything else one can include? Please let me know.
Regards,
Shweta

Hi friend
I have two things to clarify here:
1. Introduction Kit is for 2 types of people
viz. the New entrants in to the Organisation and the other one is who is relocated to another place which is new and the systerms are new:
I suggest the following:
As you rightly pointed, new entrants can have all those mentioned by you, in addition a mentor to be identified, and the Company HR policy and various employee formats need not be given in hardcopy. Most of the formats you can centralise and keep on your Intranet(If you have) or keep them as templates with Policy description in each format templet. It means, a fresher is he/she wants to apply for LTC, Tour etc., will be in a position to open the template and read the Policy, eligibilitywithin the templet of LTC or whatsoever be and can get enlightened. Policy need not be given as a part of kit.
Coming to relocated employees, you can given transfer claim formats, brief of new location, hierarchial structure with names of the Head of depts. and their telephone nos., Telephone directory of Organisation as well as local utility contact nos. viz. Gas, Electricity, Insurance company etc.,, If he is posted in a city, a city/tourist guide also can be given.
The above is only indicative but we must try to give as much informaltion as possible to the new entrants.
