HI Seniors,
We are planning to have a suggestion box in our office, but do not want to have a typical name for it.
I m thinking to keep some out of the box name for the Suggestion box.
Have gone through the general ideas in cite hR
Please suggest something very rare and innovative,catchy name for the box..

You wanted innovative, catchy name for the suggestion box. But then the very idea of suggestion box itself is quite old. Modern management does not rely on these boxes. You have to do some "out of box thinking" for removing this box itself. If you do that then question of naming the box does not arise.
Now a days, most of the HRIS have provision for employee suggestions. Every suggestion is given reference number. Employee can come to know about the status of implementation on his/her suggestion. I am using the word "suggestion". However, now a days this word is replaced with the word "idea".
Suggestion schemes either through boxes or HRIS not necessarily work. You need to train your staff on idea generation as well.
In my training programme, one GM (HR) told me that their company was not getting sufficient ideas so management decided to pay Rs 50.00 per idea. For the first month there was tremendous flow of ideas then the flow ebbed out. After 2-3 months the situation was back to square one as out of 900 employees not even a single idea came.
Idea generation is linked to employee motivation, their interest in the work, satisfaction etc. Please do not ignore these factors as well.

Purpose of Suggestion Box basically is to discover what employee wants to say and feel about their jobs/employer which helps employer to know their needs and work for employee's morale purposes but today this is not limited to "Suggestion Box" only.
Generally we found employee wants to say lot more and changes need to be adopted or development required also most of employees like to speak about their problems directly with their seniors due to their temptation to get quick answers/solutions and some never like to give suggestions, therefore, this idea of Suggestion Box is not be in used now.
Also very less of employees, in a general perception, think that their senior management supports new ideas and new ways of doing things and this prevent them for participation.
Well with my previous organization we were using a program “YOUR IDEAS CAN CREATE INNOVATION” which was a kind of employee engagement and activity program and was helping to discover the things what employees thinks and changes wants to see. Basically for organizational changes, performance coaching, conflict mediation and other value-added services.

Do a analysis on, What is the probability of working on the suggestions/ideas generated in your organisation for better results. At times, management will not focus on implementing an idea because of COST FACTORS involved even though it can do more than needful.
In my organisation, we keep on receiving suggestions as we have a policy that "every employee must write at 3 suggestions in a year". Employees repeatedly writes whatever comes to their mind, while some are genuine and few are creative/innovative.
Ensure that, ORIGINATOR/IDEA GENERATOR is take care because STEALING SOMEONE'S IDEA IS NOT A DIFFICULT TASK. Especially this is done by those who are reviewing suggestions/ideas.
