Thanx Mr Yogesh A for sounding so positive. Its definitely a morale booster. But a lot of ppl hv told me that its really difficult getting into core hr after this gap so a better path wud b to first take up a job in admin and then shift to hr. Is that the right way?

Hi Tanya,
Its not so easy to get into the industry after 3 years gap. But for that case we cannot say no and put an end to it. Understand the trends and practices in the industry. Identify your strength, Area of Interest based on that decide your career path. Equip yourselves to meet the expectations of the industry start doing it asap. I hope you need not get deviated from your career goal because you have been in a break.
I hope this will help you.

Hi Mr Vijaya Kumar
Really nice of u 2 reply. sure wat u wrote helped me but i want alittle more detail. As u said its important to know the current trends and practices in the industry, how do i gather that info coz the only experience with the industry is my internship which was four years back. So basically i m a fresher with outdated theoretical knowledge thats wat recruiters c on my CV. Its a vicious circle i hv fallen into, i need to know current practices to get a job and i cant understand the real situation untill i get a job.
Citehr is a gr8 site to learn can u suggest sum other sources.
wud u recommend sum refresher course that can get me a job in core hr coz thats what i m interested in.
Also i am getting an admin job, wud it b wise to join it? I want to take up this job but i think that wud further hinder my prospects in hr field.
Thanx a ton

Hi Tanya
How r u? Howz life?
I really appriciate ur strength that after a gap of around 3 yrs ur planning to start ur career......
Many people may say u that its difficult and tough to get started but dont u think that our life is full of problem and difficulties .....
When ull start u may face many hurdle but then it matters how u handle them and face it thats the way HR works....
I may b sounding philosophic but its true.
If u wanna start contact ur seniors, consultancies etc dont jump on to industries ok
All d best for ur future...
