Dear Seniors,
I have got an assignment to prepare salary structure for our employees. Please tell me on which basis i have to categorize the salary in to Basic, HRA, CA etc. what percentile i have to take in order to get the basic of a salary?

40% - 50% of Gross pay as Basic.
40% of basic as HRA in case of non-metros or 50% of basic as HRA for metros.
Medical Assistance - 1250/- p.m. max
Child Education - 100/- per child p.m. max 2 children
Conveyance allowance - Rs.800/- p.m max.
LTA - as per company policy
Rest as Spl. allowance

Our's is a Non banking Financial company. I want to know whether basic wage should be fixed according to the minimum wages act?
Please send me the minimum wages of Andhra Pradesh which would be applicable from 2012-2013

is it purely for tax reduction ? delete the "spl allowance" part, its entirely taxable and a misnomer
