I had completed B.E and working in a private concern as whitebox Testing Engineer with 11k per month. Now i feel this salary is not rite for my qualification and for the work i do. My company usually gives 2k as probation increment. And i am unhappy with tat increment. How much can i ask for increment during probation meeting.

It is not a good idea to ask for increment after probation period. It is not for you to decide how much you should be paid...it is for company to decide...and I am sure they do have processes in place to assess how much you are worth of. Six months down the line, you might begin to feel that your salary should be increased to 25-30k…it cannot be done. Just concentrate on your job and do a good job.

I feel it depends on your company culture...do they offer every employee 2k..or are there any exception..
If you are a fresher think twice before asking such a big amount, since the difference is too big..
its better to be practical and ask 4-5 k more..but then be brave and ask..because if you ask you will get....
BEST OF LUCK !!!!!!

Hey,
it might be because of their previous experience or the time they have already spent in this organisation, You are a fresher learn new things increase your experience then certainly some day you might be in a position to put your demands through.. but in real terms you cannot decide your worth it is the company who decide it, You could have decided on it before taking this job.

Hey
I feel first 2 years of service are investment andin this you should not think of more earnings rather you should focus on more and more learnings. These learnings will pay you in long run. In industry never compare yourself with other in package firstly work hard to grow then you will be at top automatically.

Hi,
The learning you are getting now is your investment for a better future......get some exp. and concentrate on your learnings.
once you have ample exp. you will automatically be eligible for better pay and then if you may feel that the compensation been offered is not fair...you always have an option to look for better oppertunities outside, but for that you need to have good exp. and skills in what you do.
